With a strong professional background in English and Spanish language education, cross-cultural communication, and international engagement, Tharaka specialises in helping travellers (Spanish language assistance in Sri Lanka) connect more meaningfully with Sri Lanka and its people. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and completing the Curso Intermedio de Español at BCIS with Distinction, he brings valuable multilingual communication skills to the Trip Sri Lanka team. As a U.S. Government alumnus and experienced language educator, Tharaka has also undertaken professional training through the American Center, Colombo and the U.S. Department of State programme. At Trip Sri Lanka, he supports English- and Spanish-speaking travellers with language assistance, cultural communication, and personalised guest support throughout their journeys. Passionate about sharing Sri Lankan culture and creating genuine connections between visitors and local communities, Tharaka's friendly approach, communication skills, and cultural knowledge help travellers experience Sri Lanka with greater confidence, understanding, and connection.
